How much hard disk space do I need?
When you install apps or download images to your PC, they take up space on your hard drive. You can check the amount of free space on your hard drive to make sure the computer will not run out of room.
If you require more space than the selected drive you can either select a larger SSD or if you have a lot of photos or music then add an HDD.

Open File Explorer
Open File Explorer. You can use the keyboard shortcut, Windows key + E or tap the folder icon in the taskbar.

Choose This PC
Tap or click This PC from the left pane

Look for OS (C:) or Windows (C:)
You can see the amount of free space on your hard disk under the Windows (C:) drive as well as how large the drive was originally.
